Jefferson City Considers Sidewalk Bill

I am apalled that this situation even occurs! What about sidewalks on Missouri Blvd!!!??? I am not originally from JC, have only lived here a short time,and do not walk on the Blvd. but know other people who do and it is a very dangerous place! No sidewalks THERE and No crosswalks!!! What kind of city is this!!!???? and its THE CAPITOL of Missouri!! WOW!!! For the size of this city and the number of businesses on the Blvd, this should be unacceptable!! and it WOULD be anywhere else!!! How about worrying about that before we consider putting sidewallks where they are not needed nor wanted!!

No street lighting on the Expressway.

No cleanup where the old Health Dept building stood.

Tall weeds everywhere- even in the city employee parking lot off East Miller.

TNT/Hoods mess at the entrance to the city.

Building codes not enforced. Boarded up houses and run-down houses all over town.

This city is pityful. It is nothing like it was 25 years ago when city hall ran efficient and took pride.

Lots of new construction all over town that has no sidewalks. Businesses get a break because of good ol boys club.
