3 in Marion County charged in TennCare fraud

Three Marion County residents are charged with TennCare fraud for reselling prescription medications obtained through TennCare, according to a release from the Office of Inspector General and the Marion County Sheriffa s Department in Jasper, Tenn.

The lady they call Privett can not uptain an appetite suppressant or a stimulant on Tn Care. So, how is she charged with this. You all need to look up your facts on who is paying for what. I bet she bought them herself. You guys need to get some facts as I said before they charge her with items you can not buy on Tn care.

I agree, facts should be in order...including yours. Stimulants are available on tncare and most any drug can receive a prior authorization w/ the appropriate documentation and physician attestations. Phentermine has occasionally been used to treat narcolepsy. If Privett didn't receive them through TNCare, she still gets a nice charge of distribution of a controlled substance--it's illegal any way you cut it.

there are 2 betty privetts in marion county, alot of people are under the obsumption that it's the one that lives in south pittsburg,she gets calls and letters all the time, on this subject and others, but i can tell you it's the wrong betty j privett. and the sheriffs dept should have listed it as a whitwell women.
