How to Report TennCare Fraud

The State of Tn is doing a good job of defrauding themselves. I recently saw a news report that showed the state had 1000 prison inmates and out of state residents on Tn Care. Even if the Tn care isn't used, it cost the state $300 a month just to mantain the policy for each individual. Do the Math, some have been on it for 5+ years.DAH!!!!

I posted this news story because these people disgust me. They are stealing from us all. Whether it's due to addiction or to make a quick buck, I have pitiful little tolerance.

TennCare is being abused left and right. I think the whole system needs a complete overhaul. People who truly need TC are turned down and people who abuse it are reaping all of the benefits.

I'm sorry, but I don't know much on TennCare itself, but as with any government program, aren't these programs supposed to be a temporary relief?

"Wake up TN", is the figure of $300 a month correct? I would assume it would be a much larger amount than that.

I'm only 21 and I dread when I reach retirement age, because SS and all of these other programs will be non-existent. Guess once I graduate college and pay off my loans, I'll have to start saving for my retirement.=[

Ayme, The amount is $300 a month just to hold the policy whether it is used or not. So how is a prison inamte who has been locked up for 4-5+ years going to use their TennCare They can't, so it cost $3600 to hold the policy for a year. X's that by 1000 or so prisoners and out of state enrollees and you have a huge number.

I know a family of 4 that the boy is 22 and the girtl is 20 years old.They both work.The mother is on oxycontin,xanax,valium,percoce t,hydrocodone,and a few more drugs that are not narcotics.The man works at a logging job.They live in the same househould.They have so much money from selling drugs that they put it in a safety deposit box where it cant leave a paper trail.They own a new home and all of them drive almost new vehicles including a suburban.How in the world can they get TENNCARE?I dont want money to turn them in and i aint a tattle tail but this is ridiculous.She sells 120 20 mg. ocs=2400$.90 percocets=900$.120 hydrocodone-1200$.90 xanax=270$.That is 4770$ a month she brings in.That is 57,240$ Per year.Add to that what the 2 kids and the dad makes plus the girl is getting free money to go to Rn classes.I started packing paperwood,hauling hay, and catching chickens when i was 10 years old and started working at a factory when i me want to turn them in Do you think i should?Who do i call?Peace to those willing to fight for it.

It is your duty to turn them in, it is like any other crime. If you know they are breaking the law,DO IT!! Sounds like they have a fancy lifesyle going on there, thanks to TennCare and the taxpayers. Please Call, now!!!

Are any of these people hurting you directly? If not then leave them alone. It doesn't do any good ruining peoples' lives because they are taking advantage of the government and you didn't think of doing it yourself. Maybe the family is disabled in some way and deserves TennCare. And as for selling drugs, who the fu*k are you to accuse someone of doing this? You really seem to know alot about thier operation, too. Maybe you are a client? Which makes you as bad as them.

Actually i am a Marine Corps verteran of the Iraqi War. I have fought for and served my country. And I have earned the right to my opinion and the right to diplay it in any fashion i so choose. So don't be upset when someone challenges your opinion after you post it on the internet for millions of other people to see.

Okay, so I'm going to say if someone is taking advantage of this program, I'd report it. But, seeing as though I have no irons in the fire then I'm sure it's easier to make a clear decision. In my opinion though, it's a losing battle.

If the family members of said household are working, then why do they need TC? Once again, isn't TC supposed to be a temporary solution?
