I went to Jamestown Elementary for 2 years when I was in school and witnessed a teacher throw a piece of chalk at a fellow student for talking. That same teacher threw the board eraser at the same student on a different occasion. and to make matters worse, the same teacher shouted directly in the same students ear for not paying attention. Is this cruel and unusaul punishment or what? I'm with you, someone needs to stand up to the crazy people at that school.

Somebody is LYING HERE ! Mom says he walked and Scott Pierce says he didn't so WHERE ARE THE WITNESSES ? There must have been other kids on that bus who saw and can tell about what really happened as far as how unruly the boy was and if he was made to walk behind the bus. Time for the parent to get this in CIRCUIT COURT and find the REAL ANSWER.

Riding the bus is a priviledge provided by the school district, it's not necessarily a right. There are rules to follow. If a child doesn't know how to act properly on the bus, maybe they should be asked to step off of the bus. A lot of kids can't act properly in public period. There are consequences to negative actions, and I don't understand why people think consequences are so unjust anymore. Twenty years ago, this very same thing would have been no big deal at all, so why now? Although they choose their own profession, bus drivers put up with a lot of crap on the bus rides to and from school. I sure witnessed several instances while riding the bus as a student when I wished the bus driver would have made someone walk instead letting them continue as a passenger. I know there are two sides to every story, and I wouldn't want anyones child to be put in any real danger, but I would like to know what the kid was doing that was considered unruly. If the video camera on this particular bus was in operation, maybe WBKO news should have gotten that tape and aired it along with the story instead of just talking about the mad parent.

that being said if my kid were acting crazy on the bus and diserved to be kicked off, the damn bus driver better drop him off at the police station and immediately call me otherwise i would cut his damn balls off. i cant believe someone would even kick them off the bus there is protocol they have to follow im sure that this didnt happen, as discribed.

Get as many people as possible to show up at the next board meeting. Tell them how you feel instead of doing nothing. Kids should be treated like children, not animals.

If the bus driver made the child walk I would be upset to, but taking him off to cool him down, I would be upset with my child to be that unruly.Sounds like more decipling should be in the home to. If my child was that bad I wouldtake him to school. The school is not actually obligated to furnish transportion., and some schools don't, and some charge to ride a bus. They can refuse an unruly child to ride a bus, I am sure there is more to the story, someone in traffic would have seen something

I know that if my child were kicked off the bus, the bus driver had damn well be able to run, because when I got a hold of him, he would be lucky to walk ever again!!!!!!! There is NO excuse for putting a child in danger. Regardless of whether the child had to walk or not, that child should not have been taken off the bus without someone standing there with him. If a bus driver needs an unruly child removed from the bus, thats what the cops are for (its not like they do much else).

I think we should coddle all children, sue the school system when they discipline them because we won't, and then wonder why when they grow up to be worthless when they become adults.

The cops and the school systems are not there to raise your children. If i got in trouble i got my ass tanned. In my adult years i aint worried about going to jail. I would rather be there than answering to my parents. You can tell when a child has good parents, there children are well behaved and have respect for others.

I say all of us that have children on that bus file a civil suit against that parent by putting our children's lives in danger by placing her unruly (her admission) child on that bus to distract the driver.

If the video camera on this particular bus was in operation, maybe WBKO news should have gotten that tape and aired it along with the story instead of just talking about the mad parent. First of all, I think that is a load of crap!!!! I pay taxes in this county, and I'm sure some of that goes toward this bus drivers salary, insurance, bus maintence, and so on. Not having children of my own, I could only imagin how mad I would be if my child was kicked off the bus and made to walk behind it. Regardless of how "unruly" this child may or may not have been, he/she was put in danger if this truly happend. Maybe Bus drivers have to put up with a lot, but they have chosen their profession!! I just feel like your trying to minimize what has happend by saying they (bus drivers) have so much to put. No child deserves to be put off of the bus, and put in danger. I'm sure had this been your child you would be feeling a little bit different about the situation. It would be no different if I had chosen the profession of a child care worker, and your child was being "unruly" and I locked them outside right next to a busy street! Are you serious???

Perhaps we should all attempt to be patient and wait until the FULL story comes out. You know the FULL story that tells BOTH sides of what happened. Then after we get ALL the information available we can come to our own conclusions.

I agree. She openly admitted this was the second time the child was so out of hand he had to be removed. I assume he was not punished at home the first time for his behavior, or it seems he would have learned a lesson.
