Macy's Sets Up Christmas Tree In Downtown Crossing
Macy's in Boston's Downtown Crossing is getting ready for Christmas.
On Sunday, the department store set up their massive Christmas tree on the store's marquee ledge in preparation for the annual tree lighting ceremony, which will take place on November 23 at 5 p.m.
The tree was donated by Mike McNally of Island Falls, Maine, who was dubbed the winner of the Perfect Christmas Tree Contest.
Crews will now start decorating the tree. According to Macy's representatives, it will take over 1,600 hours, two-and-a-half miles of wire and over 10,000 multi-colored lights to decorate the tree. Read more
