Delores "Lorie" Dykstra, 72, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Canton-Inwood Memorial Hospital Hospice. Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Bethany Reformed Church in Canton. Burial was held in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Lorie was born July 6, 1936, in Sheldon, the daughter of Cornie and Lizzie Kleinwolterink. She attended school at Western Christian High School, graduating in 1954.
Lorie married Harold "Harry" Dykstra in 1957. The couple made their home in Canton, where they raised their five children, Joel, Joan, Jean, Jonna and Justin. Lorie quietly went about serving and encouraging her family and her community with her words and deeds.
