Coweta Police say the chase began in their community, when a police officer attempted to stop a van for having what they said was a "bogus license plate." Just after 3:30 a.m., the van sped off, leading police out of Wagoner County into Rogers County and the community of Inola.

Coweta Police say the chase began in their community, when a police officer attempted to stop a van for having a "bogus license plate" just after 3:30 a.m. At one point during the chase, the van stopped and backed into a Coweta Police patrol car, before driving off again.

According to the National Weather Service, at 1:10am Friday a weather site near Westville recorded a half-inch of rainfall in just 15 minutes.

An Inola man found his used $4,000 lawn mower, a Dixie Chopper, on an Arkansas pawn shop's Craigslist ad online, and the Rogers County Sheriff's office told him he was lucky the thief took it across state lines.
