Thank you to the driver who stopped... people seem to have no common decency anymore, how can you hit a human being with a car and just keep on going on your way? You will be caught and hopefully charged with vehicular manslaughter and hit and run.

This was a person, not a stray dog!

What a shame! The second driver will be caught, I hope he/she does a long time in prison. How can someone leave a person in the street dead or dying is beyond me.

I drove by this accident too and t was a man in a tan full size Chevy truck that hit her. I saw one of the CHP officers patting the guy on the back as if to console him because he was so upset that he hit her. That area is very dimly lit. Prayers for the victims family and the man who hit her.

Lesson to be learned. If you hit someone that is crossing in an unmarked area IT IS AN ACCIDENT, it is only a crime IF YOU LEAVE. My prayers are with this woman's family.

The man that you saw, I have known him for more than half of my life. He is family to me and this is the biggest devastation that has ever hit our way. This is time when prayer is needed the most. Please continue to pray for the family of the woman and my family as well. Thank you very much, your thoughtfulness is greatly needed and appreciated.

Sickly comments. There's too much credit and patting on someone's back. There is a dead woman lying on the ground. This comment is offensive and lack of consideration to the woman's family. Should the woman's family pat the gentleman on the back as well? The woman gave life to her children and grandchildren and this was robbed from her heirs last August 28, 2009.

The womans family should apologise for not monitoring their beloved grannie more closely, thank him for a clean kill, and fix his truck, provide traumatic stress counseling, etc.

I was the witness who told the cops of the second car. I saw how distraught the man was, and witnessing the accident was so difficult for me, even after this whole time I cant get the image out of my head. I can only imagine how the man feels, I got his full name and I wanna know if we"re talking about the same guy, and I've been wondering how he's doing, if you can please let me know, it would be nice.

God Bless you Wtns. I worry of what is to become of my family. Will we find peace to live without our mother-the Matriarch-who was extremely independent, healthy even for her age? Our grieve is unimaginably painful, unbearable. Life without mom is forever empty! Wtns-
Not for a second do I worry about the gentleman's future wellbeing-NOT one second.

Please don't post anything cruel, mean; let my family suffer our greatest loss.

Libertarian- write what you must write to make you feel better. You write one and has its impact. You write more, it becomes dark humor and I laugh. I'll share with police.

We are all responsible for our own actions
including your late lamented grandmother
how do you and she console the others harmed by her jaywalking
Perhaps you could set up a charity in her memory
You must be very shallow and have a hard hart not to feel for others

You're crazy. I get a thrill reading how crazy you are. Calm down. People warned me to stayoff this for meeting crazies. I think I will. Good luck and take it easy. Wow. Don't bother writing back.

I been entertained when Liberaterian have a screaming retort everytime I write something. Are people today filled with so much hate for someone grieving of a lost mother? I'll get something back very special from Liberaterian that gets more hysterical and humorous by the message...

Libertarian, you're bemusing. You're nothing but a fun distraction so I don't have to grief and mourn over my mom. Judging by the way you viciously try to oppress my love for my mother, you know what mom is don't you? You'll have a million things to say and how my family owes a debt to the gentleman, but you'll just make yourself sound/read like a true jackass and a heathen.
You like to pick on me and my family because we’re perceived as weak and we’ve been through something extremely traumatic. We won’t be weak for long. It’s people like you who gives us strength.
DON’T WRITE ANYTHING YOU WILL REGRET LATER.

Where's my hysterical, buffoon comic relief? Your monster-like comments are easy to deal with.

Jesus then said to them, "Very well, give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar--and to God what belongs to God." (Matthew 22: 15-22)...

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
