If this is about Hog Factories, say so. They are unhumane, and the most likely thing to get everyone to quit eating pork.
As a former farmer, I see much of what goes on in these factories as simple animal abuse.
This is not the Iowa I once knew. This hog factory practice stinks, and makes Iowa stink worse.

For some reason I couldn't get in to comment on the Mental Health Institute's closure.

So, will make a comment here until I figure out why.

Close the faciltiy so there will be more money for the State---University of Iowa football staff. Head coach is wanting a bonus for getting into a bowl game. Come on, lets help these people.

Iowa must keep on cutting salaries and laying off State employees, especially those in the helping professions, law enforcement etc.

FOOTBALL AND SPORTS: YES HELPING PEOPLE: NO!

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Pisces

You're thinking along very inventive lines today, which is brilliant if you're trying to decide what you want to achieve in 2010. Get out a notebook or diary and start jotting down your ideas, so there's no danger of forgetting them. Discussing some of your plans with someone you respect could lead to even more brainwaves, and will assure you of their moral and emotional support.
