To Susan: Don't talk like you've never used a cell phone while driving. And don't talk like Kevin was riding his motorcycle carefully either. So many people his age ride their bike's like they're immortals. And were you there? Probably not. Don't judge. Remember, only God can judge people. To judge others in not christian-like.
And for the record, I happen to know that a cell phone was NOT being used. Have a great day;)

You are an ignorant and rude fool. You talk as if you were there! Did you ever think that HE might have been at fault??? NOBODY knows for sure who was at fault so shut your damn mouth. THINK TWICE ABOUT OPENING YOU TRAP!

I know Bucher, and I can guarantee that this accident was definitely just an accident that could happen to any one of us. I find it quite funny how there are comments stating that she was reaching a cell phone when in fact a cell phone was not in the picture. My heart goes out to Kevin's family and friends, but don't for one second think that Bucher isn't feeling horrible about what happened. I'm sure she wishes more then anything that this would have never occured. That's why it's called an accident! They happen and everytime you get on the road you are risking your life. Face it, driving is dangerous! Bucher is a very compassionate person who I am sure is struggling enough with what happened. I also think it's funny how you guys are coming to all these conclusions when it's still UNDER INVESTIGATION!!!!! That means that not even the police truly know what exactly happened. STOP jumping to conclusions and wait until the investigation comes through. As far as saying the Bucher should rot in hell and spend the rest of her life in prison do you guys not think that everyday she has to think about and deal with the fact that she was involved in this tragic accident that resulted in a death . She is a mother and a nurse and more then anything all she would ever want to do is to help others, not take their life. I just think it's time that we stop jumping to conclusions.

This is so tragic my heart goes out to the families. Sounds like Bucher needs to be put in jail for life, so she can feel the pain the family has to deal with. I think the family should also contact their lawyer right away. Again sorry for your loss.
I happen to know that this is eating Deb up inside. She is a loving woman that ALWAYS puts others needs ahead of her own. She would never wish this situation on anyone. Maybe HER family should call THEIR layer because HE might have been at fault. I love how people automatically assume that it was her fault and in no way his. Wait until you get the facts then make your idiotic comments.

Um ok I ride motorcycle and I dont drive like that for one. For two she crossed the yellow line into his lane striking him. So, I dont know what your point really is here?
It's funny that I read reports saying HE crossed the yellow line.... weird huh?!? How shitty would you feel if it came back to be his fault? I know of a lot of people on here that would owe Deb an apology for being so nasty. I'm sure that you obide by the speed limit at all times on your bike... hypocrite!

Actually Missy being his family the cops DID tell us that she admited to reaching for her phone. I not once put this woman down because yes accidents do happen. The articles saying he crossed the line are incorrect. If you were to go to the accident site it would clearly show who crossed the line. Let's not all act like kids and get rude here. My nephew is dead and she happened to be the one to hit him.. Of course my family would have mixed feelings for this woman, any normal person would.

First off YES I am related...but I think everyone needs to take a chill pill, maybe seriously with some. From what the person that saw the accident said she crossed into his lane, however the reaching for the cell phone ect... no one will ever know. No one was in the car with her as far as I know, I am related to him and dont wish for her to go to hell or even to jail, if this was to happen to me I would be completly torn knowing that I took someones life, ontop of that knowing that there is a little girl without her daddy. This women will live with this for the rest of her life.

To everyone who says motorcylcist speed around people and drive like they own the road,(or whatever you may have said) your right some do but we cant be styerotypical, and think that he was doing this, that road is very curvy just like we cant assume that she was reaching for her phone we cant assume he was driving like nothing could ever happen to him. Just two weeks ago he was telling his sister he didnt want her to take it for a spin on that road because he wasnt afraid of her being careless but rather someone not seeing her.

Kevin will be missed dearly, especially by his wife and child, I cant even begin to imagine losing my husband, as far as his parents go I cant and dont even want to try to imagine my life without my child, these are LONG HARD times for his family.

As far as the butcher family, she will feel pain for what has happened, sending her to jail, or saying she can rot in hell is jsut cruel, this was not purposly done, she didnt aim for him to do it, it was an accident.

Please just everyone respect all of it, both of the victims, both drivers.

As Amber said go to the scene see for urself, see his blood n guts layin there where his mangled body was, see the marks on the road. Yes accidents do happen and this one took the life of my grandson and yes Deb will have to live with that fact the rest of her life but i dont wanna hear the sun was in her eyes or those are sharp curves...i've driven out there for yrs and there is no reason for any vehicle to cross the line and if the sun was bright she has sun visors in her car and they have invented sunglasses. Dont make excuses for anyone and we are not making any in return. The ones laying the BS is the people who are outsiders. She gets to watch her children n grand children grow up and live life and one of ours was takin away. The newspaper was even so nice as to print that lovely picture of the body layin alongside the road like we needed any more trauma added to his death. The man upstairs is the final one to answer to for everything.

I just need to say something. I am Michael Sharkey's niece. I loved him very much and he was a very catious and safe driver on his motorcycle. In fact, he was the safest motorcyclist I knew. Our family is going through a very, very tough time right now and we don't need to hear things like "What if it was the motorcyclist fault?" What happened to Sharkey was a tragic accident and I would hope whoever knew him is praying for his family right now because we all need it. He was a father, uncle, godfather, son, and brother. Please let these people that the article is talking about time to grieve. I am praying for the praying for the other families that were mentioned in this article, and all I can say is I know what your going through and I am sorry. I miss you and I love you Sharkey.

to the ones that dont know what we are all dealing with and want to say something negative about him you did not know kevin and he was not speeding he never does on his bike and why dont you read the paper or watch the news she is the one that crossed the yellow line and took him away from us forever the ones that are saying the negative stuff you are not the one that just lost your son,or your father,or your husband or your family member or your bestfriend so if you want to be negative keep it to your self his loves ones are reading this they have enough to deal with alrady.

it upsets me that some people think it is kevins falt...he is a safe driver/rider...and i understand that there are people trying to stick up for the lady in the car because of her dealing with killing someone for the rest of her life...accidents do happen but they wouldnt if people would be paying more attention to things more inportant like the "sharp turn" that is not really all that bad at all....things would not happen like this so think about it....if you ant pay attention to driving you should not have a licence...and to the people that do not know kenin or his family please just leave them all alone because you are showing no respect to kevin by saying anything about it being his falt because his family knows its not like i said people should pay more attention to what they are doing...i no how much people are hurt and want him back....RIP woopy!

I think there is one fact that we can all agree on here.

There were 2 accidents in this article involving motorcycles - and in each case the people in the car walked away and the motorcyclist died.

Regardless of who caused what, the fact is you are much more likely to be killed on a motorcycle than any other vehicle.

I for one will let the investigation attribute blame; the only assumption I'll carry is that the deceased would be more likely to be with us today had they been driving a car vs. motorcycle. It's not a crime to ride one - just a riskier mode of transportation.

My condolences to all families involved.

This is Kevins' Mom. Do you know what its like to get a phone call and be told your son was in a motorcycle accident and did not make it? Then have to tell your other son that your brother didn't make it. Then I get on the computer to read the story that was in the paper. I could not belive the things I'm reading on this site. It makes me SICK. As if I'm not sick enough loosing my son. If you don't have nice things to say then be quiet. It is not for us to judge. I am so sorry my son was taken away at age twenty-six. But I know when he was fifteen he gave his life to the lord. So now i know he is in Heaven with the Lord and Grandparents. Our youth pastor told me a story I would like to share
Remember when you were little and you would lay down in front of the TV and you would fall asleep but somehow you would wake up the next morning in your bed well that's what happens when we die if you accept Christ as your saviour you will fall asleep and you will wake up in his arms.
My prayers go out to all of you,
To the Buchers, to my family, and to all of Kevins' friends but most of all to Jules and Star. We love you Kevin. You will always be in our hearts.
Love Your Mother Susan and Your Brother Donovan
