Alzheimer's Association Hosts Summer Caregiver Seminar
The Alzheimer's Association North Central Texas Chapter is hosting its fourth annual summer caregiver seminar, Positive ApproachA to Dementia Care at Any Stage, Thursday, August 28 at the New River Fellowship Church from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. By 2020, it is estimated that 400,000 Texans will be diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. To increase community awareness and education about the disease, the Alzheimer's Association hosts a special half day event for family caregivers.The seminar combines informative presentations with time to interact with local businesses that serve the needs of people living with disease and those who care for them.
