Howell Man Charged with Animal Cruelty After Father Finds Dog Dead in Truck

A Howell man has been charged with animal cruelty after his dog was discovered dead in his truck on Sunday, the Asbury Park Press is reporting . Patrick Vansaghi, 26, of Friendship Road, was arrested and charged with two counts of animal cruelty, according to the Monmouth County SPCA, after his father found his lab-pit mix dead in his pickup truck after being left behind while Vansaghi was allegedly in New York City for two days.

Toms River Woman Indicted In Credit Card Theft

A Toms River woman has been indicted in Monmouth County on counts of theft and fraud, after she allegedly stole a credit card and then used it for purchases. Lori Wegner, 42, of Kettle Creek Road, is accused of stealing a Wells Fargo card in Howell on July 17, 2014, and then using that card to make purchases at a Wawa in Jackson that day.

HOWELL - A Howell man was charged with animal cruelty after leaving his dog in a pickup truck for two days, where it was found dead, authorities said Monday. Patrick Vansaghi, 26, allegedly left his Labrador pit bull mix named Mischief in the cab of the pickup truck for two days while he was away on a trip to New York, Monmouth County SPCA Chief Law Enforcement Officer Victor "Buddy" Amato said in an email.
