Frustrated commuters who have steamed behind the wheel as they sat in traffic jams on Route 309 in Tamaqua had a chance at a public hearing Tuesday to let the state Department of Transportation know which of three possible solutions they believe would be best.
But no matter which one they choose, it probably will be years before any changes are made, said Senior Project Manager Heather Heeter.
It's too early to attach a price tag to any of the projects. PennDOT will review the public comments before making a final decision, Heeter said.
