A Mindoro man is dead after a car crash Thursday near Holmen. The La Crosse County Sheriff's Department says that 78-year-old John L.T. Dolbier died in the crash.

Residents in Holmen are asked to check their cars after a series of car break-ins. Holmen Police Chief Michael McHugh says a suspect was arrested Friday who admitted to entering numerous cars in the area of Deerwood Park and Linden Drive.
