Another jewel falls from the tarnished crown of "Queen Mara The Last". Bober was the one right all along "tax money should'nt go to someone upgrading their resturant kitchen".
Mara's administration spent our tax dollar CRA funds like a drunken sailor on leave. Sixty-six thousand of OUR TAX Money gone, pi***d down a crab-hole never to be seen again. Priceless. How many other downtown loan defaults are yet to come?

The food sucked in my opinion, the old kitchen was dirty and for the money, Chinatopia or Ginger bay restaurant on Hollywood blvd was way way better. I don't know why the city officials were so in love with try my tai, seriously the food was less than mediorcre

They sold the building 6 months prior for 1.2 million & then moved. Why didn't the city know this? Something is rotten in Hollywood & it ain't the peanut sauce or lemon grass. If an owner with 1.2 mil.in his pocket can't pay for his own upgades at the new location, why should the TAX Payer?

Another POPULAR restaurant closes? If it was so POPULAR, it would still be open.

I used to eat there a fair amount when there was plenty of open parking downtown, and I thought the food was good. Maybe the food changed as one poster opined. Businesses need to pay their own way, just like mine does.

NO business should be getting money from government. I don't believe hardly anyone in Hollywood understands what these CRA's are doing or how they operate. Who understands that not a dime in tax money raised on the beach or downtown supports the general fund? They sure aren’t going to find out from anyone in city hall.

The 2 CRA's operate like independent states that answer to no one. They spend tax money with reckless abandon, and hundreds of millions have been blown in the colossal failure downtown while the rest of the city is IN DEBT. Remember the bonds the city jammed down the throats of residents for basic services? They even used tax dollars to advertise and promote - a dagger in the heart of democracy.

Another restaurant closing that got a handout from government is just another scream in the night that the hideous abuse of government involving CRA’s needs to end, and a thorough investigation needs to begin.

You're kidding, right? The Sun Sentinel is prone to publishing what the city tells them, and if this is true, they sure didn't do their homework - AGAIN.

What about the 7 million to HART Posner and Peretz this is peanuts compared to that. Lets see how the taxes go up and the people pay for the mistakes.

Tax payer dollars should not be used to fund private enterprises like this!

Since when does our money we are forced to pay become a free for all!

BS!
