Hmm, will they keep the F-22s then? The F-22 is a far, far superior aircraft in many ways. The F-22 is an air superiority fighter, whereas the F-35 JSF is not.

The biggest issue with the F-35 is that it has the loudest jet engine of all time. So, loud that people around airbases that are testing the F-35 are complaining about the noise. Holloman is out of the way of noise issues.

Southern NM has the perfect geography for military aircraft training and support. I know it might spook the cattle and other livestock some, But try defending your country and troops with a cup of yogurt or fried string cheese sticks..... Ummmmm....yum Can we have both? |

After finding out the F-22 paint melts in the rain and Lockheed Martin admitted the F-22 wasn't as Stealthy as they had promised, I am hoping for the F-35's. Ever 1000 will be built and it is the future of the United States Air Force. If there is anyone stupid here it is Lockheed Martin. Maybe THIS TIME this fighter jet (F-35) will fulfill the promises Lockheed Martin made. |

Sure, they had some problems initially, like all new craft do. But the F-35 will never be a dogfighter, which is what USAF and USN need. A JSF is good for certain roles, but not all. The F-22 is a superior aircraft. |

Try to win a dogfight in an F-35, and you'll be the failure! We need an air superiority fighter, which the F-35 can never be. They are different craft designed and built for different roles, and we need them both. |
