During a pre-bid conference held at 101 W. University in Siloam Springs, seven contractors spent two hours inside the building, examining the specifics of a building plan and deciding what to bid on the project to turn the building into a new public health clinic for Benton County.

In November, Benton County will finish paying off a $1.8 million loan it took out five years ago to purchase 14 new fire trucks for the county's volunteer fire departments.

The First Baptist Church of Hiwasse is collecting donations for Care and Share.
