Lincoln County roads were shut down Wednesday as floodwaters from the remnants of Ida continued to rise.

Mountain View- A mobile home was destroyed by fire Friday morning. The fire began at around 10:00 a.m. at a mobile home on 1756 Ponderosa Road.

Residents of Burke County, from Morganton to Hildebran, said Tuesday that they are voting this year because of the school board race.
