Me too. If one doesn't like the jail system, perhaps one should do everything within one's power to stay out of the jail.

Jails aren't meant to be fun, they are to punish citizens who commit crimes. They don't have to be nice to anyone. If anything, they should be so bad that criminals obey the law and don't do anything to get in jail. I've even had family there and it's their own fault they were in jail,. Didn't have pitty on my own family. The judges are too easy on criminals anyway. I'm sure the jail is doing a fine job, just need to keep all the druggies and burgulars in there a lot longer to keep them out of our homes and from killing themselves and other people. Please get help if you are in that situation, we pray for those every day. It's a terrible epidemic.

I worked for the douche bag, and he treats inmates like his "kinn-folk" and his deputies like trash. I also worked for Bob, and he ran it like a jail, Joe runs it like a daycare. I know I am going to stoke the fire about what happened at the jail prior to Joe, but oh well.

Joe burchetts' days are numbered, election is coming up next year, maybe next time we'll get someone that knows how to run a damn jail.

So joes days are numbered..He has hired a new guy with no experience to cut, fire and hire. He has traded this guy for his votes of his own workers. they dont like this guy. I dont know him or have ever worked there but joe seems to be going crazy before his election that he wont win. he just done got rid of 3 peopl . those may cost him at leaset 400 or so voteds.

...the biggest problem with the Boyd County Jail is the clientele it serves...by nature, the jail's "customers" (as they are...ostensibly...tax payers)...are criminals...criminals in any society are THE problem...imagine a group of them together whining about bad food, no weights...

i serverd 2 years thier. you dont like jail dont go. its thats easy. joe was always good to me. i cant say anything bad. even when i messed up and got shipped he was still respectful to me and my family. boyd co was a lot better than western ky jails. everything is what you make of it.

Why has Todd Perego been allowed to work in another detention type facility? This is getting VERY old VERY quick. He has been suspended a few times for misconduct..gimme a break! Boyd county jail? This must be a set up..look at his past and who his friends really are. Or do you really want to see his past.

How in all creation did i forget about the main problem at the jail, Rex Castle. Get in my face again rex.
