Several dozen people braved frigid temperatures Friday to take a "polar bear plunge." The annual New Year's Day event drew nearly 100 people to Hidden Valley Lake in Dearborn County, which measured 35 degrees.

The Warm for the Winter program, spearheaded by Clearlake City Councilmember Joyce Overton, served nearly 100 people on Saturday during its first giveaway event.
