Trial is reset for a Nebraska Panhandle man charged with vehicular homicide and manslaughter in the death of his passenger who officials say stuck his head out the window and a hit a road sign.

Trial is scheduled for January for a Henry man charged with vehicular homicide and manslaughter in the death last summer of a passenger in his van.

Helen West, 85, of Gering, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 at Heritage Estates in Gering.

A Henry man charged with manslaughter and motor vehicle homicide due to drunk driving has waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Scotts Bluff County Court and will face trial in district court on the charges.
