Doors will open for “The Wizard of Oz”, sponsored by Zonta, at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Grace Theater, 316 S. Main St.

The Friends of the Canal is holding its monthly Hike the Canal outing July 19. This month's hike will be from Lock 17 to Lock 11/Bridge 6. Hikers will meet at Lock 11/Bridge 6 , just north of Tiskilwa at 1:30 p.m., where they will be shuttled to Lock 6 to begin the hike.
