Gas Station In SW Minn. Destroyed By Fire
A full-service gas station that has become a landmark in southwestern Minnesota was destroyed by fire last night.
Hendricks Fire Chief Dustin Hauschild says the fire likely started where the furnace was kept. The state fire marshal is investigating.
Hauschild says the building has always been there and he predicted many people would miss it.
Unlike most gas stations in the area, the Hendricks Gas Stop pumped gas for you and threw in a few extras during its more than 60 years of service. Read more
