A recipe by Kim Brown of Henagar recently took third prize in the Martha White/Lodge Cast Iron National Cornbread Cook-Off. Brown won $1,000 for her entry of Poppin' Chicken Pones, an updated version of the classic stuffed pepper using poblanos instead of the traditional bell peppers.
