Dorothy LeConte's 1989 death on the grounds of Hempstead High School went unsolved for decades until Nassau County Police got their break: a DNA match from 38-year-old Joey Bethea, a lumberyard worker arrested June 23, 2009, in Bainbridge on a petit larceny charge.
