The trial of a Helena man accused of killing his 6-month-old son in February ended with a hung jury Thursday, according to Oconee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Tim Vaughn.

Robert Wilson Jr., 22, was home with his son, Robert Wilson III, on Feb. 23 while the boy's mother was at work, Vaughn said.

Wilson is accused of striking the baby in the abdomen lacerating his liver, Vaughn said.

He said Wilson took his son to the hospital where the baby died about two hours after he arrived. Read more
