2.2 million votes later, small shift for Clinton
Sift and resift the results of Pennsylvania's presidential primary and here's the bottom line: Voting groups who supported Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in earlier contests did the same here Tuesday; Clinton won because Pennsylvania is home to more of those groups, and they have bigger numbers.
In the Lehigh Valley, only Easton went for the Illinois senator. Everywhere else -- from Bangor to Bethlehem to Heidelberg Township -- was Clinton Country.
What's unique about Easton? It has more black and more young voters, on average, than the Valley, and both those groups break Obama's way. Lafayette College students in particular turned out in large numbers, said Easton City Councilman Jeff Warren, an Obama supporter. Read more
