Some in Hays target ranch over aquifer for shooting range

An idea by County Commissioner Jeff Barton to build a regional shooting range on Dahlstrom Ranch, an area above the environmentally sensitive Edwards Aquifer, has excited those pushing for a county-supported range, but a formal proposal has yet to make its way to the county's partners in a conservation easement deal or to the Dahlstrom family.
