I-95, Southern Boulevard projects coming to an end in Palm Beach County
The end is near. More than five years of major construction on some Palm Beach County roads finally is wrapping up. By September, drivers will say goodbye to many of the orange-and-white barricades dotting the county's roadside landscape. Most of the work widening Interstate 95 to 10 lanes from Gateway Boulevard to PGA Boulevard will be complete by the end of the summer. The transformation of Southern Boulevard to an eight-lane expressway should be done in July.
Last month, contractors finished the four-year job on Military Trail, which was widened to six lanes from four between Okeechobee Boulevard and 45th Street.
Police are trying to identify a man who robbed a West Palm Beach bank Tuesday afternoon.
"I think it's all a nightmare. I don't even believe that it's happening." That's what John Tacoma has to say about the crash last night that killed his sister, 55 year old Theresa Tacoma of Greenacres.
