* Roy W. Boe, 20, 6442 Highway 153, Hatley, made an initial appearance Sept. 15 on 14 misdemeanor charges of theft. The court ordered a $2,500 signature bond and set a pretrial conference for Oct. 30. Police investigated a report that Boe took money from cash registers at Arby's in Rothschild while employed there in August and September, according to court records. * Jerome M. Brisby, 23,1115 Prospect Ave., Wausau, made an initial appearance Sept. 15 on a felony charge of attempting to flee an officer and misdemeanor charges of second-offense operating a motor vehicle while revoked and resisting an officer. The court ordered a $2,500 signature bond and set a preliminary hearing for Sept. 29. Brisby was arrested following a short pursuit Sept. 13 in Weston after an officer observed his vehicle speeding, according to court records. * Robert E. Johnson Jr., 31, 1207 E. Union Ave., Wausau, made an initial appearance Sept. 15 on a felony charge of possession of burglarious tools and a misdemeanor charge of attempted entry into a locked coin box. The court ordered a $1,500 signature bond and set a pretrial conference for Oct. 24. Johnson and another man were arrested Sept. 13 after police found them inside Best Wash car wash in Wausau and thought they were trying to break into a coin box, according to court records. * Jamie L. Nyhus, 31, 1207 E. Union Ave., Wausau, made an initial appearance Sept. 15 on a felony charge of possession of burglarious tools and a misdemeanor charge of attempted entry into a locked coin box. The court ordered a $1,500 signature bond and set a pretrial conference for Oct. 24. Nyhus and another man were arrested Sept. 13 after police found them inside Best Wash car wash in Wausau and thought they were trying to break into a coin box, according to court records. * Luke Norton, 29, 812 10th Ave., Wausau, made an initial appearance Sept. 15 on a felony charge of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and misdemeanor charges of entry into a locked vehicle, fourth-offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated and second-offense operating a vehicle with a revoked license. The court ordered a $1,000 signature bond and set a preliminary hearing for Sept., 29. Norton was arrested Sept. 14 after a woman told police that Norton stole her vehicle, according to court records. * Thomas D. Butler, 19, 608 N. Seventh St., Wausau, made an initial appearance Sept. 15 on two felony charges of battery by a prisoner and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. The court ordered a $1,000 signature bond and set a pretrial conference for Sept. 29. Butler fought with Marathon County Jail staff who attempted to move him July 26 to another cell, according to court records. * Ryan R. Pellicane, 23, 612 Jefferson St., Wausau, made an initial appearance Sept. 15 on misdemeanor charges of third-offense operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. The court ordered a $500 signature bond and set a pretrial conference for Oct. 30. Pellicane as arrested Aug. 6 following a traffic stop in Wausau after an officer saw his vehicle speeding, according to court records.
