Central Missouri crash kills three children
Three children died after a freight truck barreled into the car they were riding in this afternoon in central Missouri.
The accident happened shortly after 3 p.m. on U.S. 63, near Fort Leonard Wood.
Killed were infant Gaberielle J. Miess, 5-year-old Gracey J. Miess and 11-year-old Christel E. Miess, all of Licking, Mo., according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The girls were riding in a 1989 Ford Tempo with Christina J. Miess, 34, and driver Mark T. Barton, 30, both of Licking. Read more
