18 chickens found outside Glen Burnie home

Eighteen chickens that Anne Arundel County police said mysteriously showed up in a yard of a Glen Burnie home are at an animal rescue ranch waiting to be claimed, according to authorities.
The owner has until Thursday to collect the animals from Cheryl's Rescue Ranch in Harwood. Otherwise, the ranch will keep the chickens and use them to teach visiting children.
Police said a homeowner called them and animal control on Thursday to a home in the 1600 block of Lorimer Road, just off Ritchie Highway north of the Marley Station Mall, to complain about six chickens running around her yard. Read more
