Regarding the Dec. 5 article "Homeowners get $480G for easement," I am amazed that these Harvey Cedars residents have scammed a half million dollars from the taxpayers for the privilege of letting the town help save their multimillion-dollar homes.
Easement award way over the top
Court-appointed condemnation commissioners last week awarded Harvey Cedars residents Martin Flumenbaum and Ruth Hochberger nearly a half million dollars for an 8,500-square-foot easement needed for an ongoing beach replenishment project.
