Former ALEA agent's prosecution linked to Priceville Partners
The prosecution of a former state law enforcement agent who lives in Falkville took a turn last week as Matt Hart, a high-profile public corruption prosecutor, entered the case and the state for the first time made clear that its case is closely linked to Decatur-based Priceville Partners LLC. Steven Ziaja, 40, was an Alcoholic Beverage Control and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency agent before his indictment in November 2017. He was suspended without pay last year and has not drawn a salary from the agency since Dec. 27, according to state financial records.
