U.S. Attorneys Office Moving Out Of City Courthouse
In a press release, Cullen, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Virginia, said staff who now work in the city will be consolidated into the Charlottesville office as part of a plan to provide "more resources to underserved areas" of the district, which stretches from Winchester to Roanoke. "By combining our prosecutors in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, we can more efficiently and effectively deploy our limited resources to parts of these court divisions that, historically, have been underserved by our office," Cullen said in the statement.
