Bath County newspaper changes hands

Ken Metz literally grew up in the offices of the Bath County News-Outlook, the weekly newspaper in Owingsville.
His father, Russ Metz, bought the paper in 1960 when Ken was 2 years old and went on to make it a giant among small-town Kentucky publications winning more than 450 national and state awards before his death in 1996.
Ken Metz stepped into his father's shoes, and the News-Outlook continued to be identified with his family and high-quality journalism.
That's why he predicts some readers will be 'shocked' to learn that he has sold the newspaper his family owned for 47 years and resigned from the board of the Kentucky Press Association after 22 years. Read more
