Wine consultant to lead Hampshire chamber
As the Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce prepares to hold its annual holiday gala Friday night, 2010 President Katie Mathson said her two priorities for next year will be to provide more benefits from being a chamber member and to increase the number of members in a time when many businesses are tightening belts.
Paths to street names differed
We explained recently how Hampshire officials in the 1960s or 1970s got very logical and organized about naming streets, even if the village has pretty much ignored that system except in the original grid-shaped "old village." For example, all east-west thoroughfares were to be called avenues, and all north-south ones were to be called streets.
