Fire Destroys House On Mountain Road

Fire destroyed a single-story log home on Mountain Road Thursday evening. Halifax Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call shortly after 7 p.m. and found the residential structure fully involved when they arrived at the scene, a fire department spokesman said.
