Accident causes delays on Beltway's inner loop lanes
An overturned tractor-trailer on the Baltimore Beltway's inner loop, past the Route 1/Southwestern Boulevard exit, blocked all lanes for about an hour this morning and is continuing to cause long backups that are spilling over onto Interstate 95.
The truck was carrying cell phones. Hazmat, Maryland State Police, EMS and fire crews are on the scene. A state police spokesman said the collision involved five passenger vehicles as well as the truck. He said two motorists were transported to St. Agnes Hospital with minor injuries, but the truck driver was unhurt. Read more
