On Wed., May 1, we were the fortunate recipients of support from eight local volunteer fire departments.

Donna McKernan and Krista Lucas met about nine years ago, when Krista, who has cerebral palsy, came to live at the Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield.

A three-alarm fire on Sawmill Road on Wednesday night had multiple fire crews from the area gathered at the scene of New England Forest Products, where the blaze did significant damage to one of the business' buildings.
