PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio - Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a single-vehicle Sunday night crash in Preble County that killed a 33-year-old woman.

A truck carrying a load of scrap metal flipped on its side this morning, June 19, while trying to turn from Ohio 122 onto Carmody Boulevard, scattering dozens of old metal brake shoes everywhere.

Fire investigators have ruled arson in connection with a house fire in the village of Gratis.

The fire happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East Franklin Street. People living next door said you could tell there was trouble right away.

Dozens of firefighters were called to the Preble County village of Gratis after flames erupted and tore through a house.

Preble County turns to its athletic past again this weekend. Twelve individuals and one team are the latest to be inducted into the Preble County Athletic Hall of Fame.
