They made 2.2 million in a week. Clear. Just 1 casino.Sounds like our taxes should be dropping leaps and bounds. Beer and cigarettes should be declining in price almost immediately if Rendell can keep his hands above the table. And lets not forget the veterans clubs who strive not only to help our handicapped and underpriveleged tax paying members of our community but lets also spit in the face of those gentle hero's who served their country well and gave us the freedom to witness this socialist type of agression as it takes place in a time when our rights and freedoms are being removed at will.

91% return? Let me know whenm the return is 97 or 98 percent.
The opening day, in the stupidity of management, they figured they would have a crowd anyway & toned down the payout. Those that went & lost won't be back.
Think Vegas!!!!!!!

leave central pa alone

I went there yesterday. I wasn't impressed. Had more fun at the OTB in Chambersburg.

You call them "gamblers", I'll call them suckers for now, loosers later. The casinos are there for one reason--to take your money. They do an excellent job.

I agree, steady Eddie should be convening the legislature (all 10,000) of them and urging legislation along to reduce taxes. Too many taxes.
I also think these Jeff Coy types should leave the vets clubs alonel. These clubs are founded by heroes of this country. Let them have a little fun. After this local raid on these establishments, I will never, never visit one of these casinos in the state of PA and hope more people do the same. I will however return to the vets clubs once Jeffy and his boys let them open again.

Two compulsive gamblers meet at the casino door. Jim's on the way in, Bill on the way out.
Jim : How'd you do ? Bill : Broke even. Jim : Sure hope I can, I need the money.

And rememebr folks: No more coin payouts - it's like just a ticket that looks like one you get when you enter The Turnpike.
Yippee -- allow me to curb my enthusiasm.
I'll keep going out of state to NJ.

I'll stick with charlestown. Better slots, better payout, better everything. And if I lose, at least I know my money will be used in a state at truely needs the revenue and won't p|ss it away on lies and organized crime.

Its sounds great. Looks great at first, but wait until the crime, free womean start showing up not to mention other crime families.
Remember, just because it looks good at first does not mean the bad side won't show up eventually.
Don't expect you taxes to go down either. PA Govermenet will just find some other way to spend the $$$$$.

Why Worry

The real cost of slots is the kids that go hungry when mommy or daddy spend all their money on slots and not food.

Yep Yep

I agree with Deatheater....it's not Pennsylvania, it's TAXSLYVANIA!!!!

Yep Yep- And our "lawmakers" spend their time trying to create and invent new taxes for us to pay. They like the stealth type tax increases. We need to support our "lawmakers" in the manner to which they have grown accustomed.
|
|
NOTABELIEVER
|
Why cut spending when our "lawmakers" can invent new taxes and extort money from the citizens of PA under threat of incarceration or seizing any and all of your assets deemed necessary to settle your obligation to the state. Can't you feel the squeeze?
|
|
Yep Yep
|
I think just about everyone feel the squeeze.

Everybody complains about the high, usurous rate of taxes in Taxsylvania yet they continue to vote in the likes of our Liberal Governor and those of his ilk. Wake up Pennsylvania before you start paying Long Island taxes. Want a heart attack? Check out their property taxes.
