Elation after autistic man found alive in woods

Searchers looking in the woods for 25-year-old Keith Kennedy had a special urgency: He is both autistic and relies on medication following a kidney transplant.

The hunt ended happily Sunday when a firefighter found him alive about a mile from the camp for the disabled that he had wandered away from a week ago.

Searchers had feared Kennedy might suffer a medical emergency without the anti-rejection drugs he has taken since his transplant in 1995. He can only speak four words, and searchers had feared he might not respond if they called out to him.
