Congratulations to the mobile home's home owner association in doing their role in making sure that people who are in this country illegally are not permitted to buy and reside there. This should be standard for anybody buying or renting any type of dwelling. It is not against any law to ask this of the prospetive buyers.
Good to see the the property owner's association board takes their jobs seriously.

This is common procedure here in Georgia.
Leasing Office's don't have to come right out and ask,When you fill out the application to rent an apartment here..ALL go through E-Verify. Mine..your's,everybody's. Not if but WHEN E-Verify kicks that ss# back as a "non-match"
It will be reported. It will not be the leasing office that comes to inform you of this either.
It will be local or even state Police. I can only speak for Georgia but when you fill out an application requiring a ss# that ss# will almost ALWAYS be verified. Banks...Leasing office's...Car Dealerships...voter registration cards etc. It's funny how only "Pro-illegal" groups are the ones who complain huh!!!
