The city of Eustis is helping neighboring Grand Island by building a new, $1.6-million drinking-water booster system to be completed early next year.

City officials Tuesday will break ground on a $1.6 million water booster station on Grand Island Shores Road with a brief ceremony at 10 a.m. The public is invited.

A wrestling match featuring Hector Guerrero is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Omega Zone.

Guerrero is a second-generation wrestler, son of the late wrestler Gory Guerrero. He was born in Mexico City, one of four sons and two daughters.

The match also features Larry Zbyszko; the 500-pound 'Snowman'; the Irish Destroyer; Mohawk Mafia; and Sgt. Hardcore.

Lady Lake has been awarded a certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

The certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

An award of financial-reporting achievement went to Karen Rickelman, finance director for Lady Lake and the person designated as primarily responsible for preparing the report.
