TORA BORA REVISITED: HOW WE FAILED TO GET BIN LADEN AND WHY IT MATTERS TODAY

NOVEMBER 30, 2009

"Removing the al Qaeda leader from the battlefield eight years ago would not have eliminated the worldwide extremist threat. But the decisions that opened the door for his escape to Pakistan allowed bin Laden to emerge as a potent symbolic figure who continues to attract a steady flow of money and inspire fanatics worldwide. The failure to finish the job represents a lost opportunity that forever altered the course of the conflict in Afghanistan and the future of international terrorism."

http://foreign.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Tora_...

But this is "old news." Past failures don't matter now. All that matters today is what a complete failure Obama is for not fixing all of Bush's domestic and international disasters within the first 11 months of his Presidency.

Obama makes History AGAIN:
Thus far in December, Obama has averaged 50% job approval. That is similar to the December averages for Ronald Reagan (49%) and Bill Clinton (53%), who also took office when the economy was struggling. All other recent presidents elected to their first terms had approval averages of 57% or above in their first December in office.

Yep, just like Ronald Reagan.

"Of the ten post-war presidents in the chart, Reagan and Obama currently stand as the two lowest at this point in their first term.(Clinton fell lower early, but was recovering at this point before another decline and rise.) Reagan finished as the second lowest just before his midterm in 1982, ahead of only Truman. It happens that the economy under Reagan also bottomed out in November 1982, the worst possible time for the president and his party."

Temporary? The dems have dug their own grave already with Obama's dithering in Afghanistan and all the scandals taking place like Acorn's endorsements of prostitution. As a black man who might not even be an American, Obama isnt half the man Reagan was. At least Reagan force everyone to pay taxes, too bad Obama cant say the same. Yet you keep drinking the koolaid.

How is Obama being black relevant to him not being half the man Reagan was? Is it BECAUSE he's black that he isn't half the man? Please clarify because I don't want to be accused of making a simple policy criticism into something racist.

You do know that even under Reagan people had to pay their taxes, right? There wasn't a big tax holiday or anything. It was just as illegal then as it is now to not pay taxes.

Looks like someone posted this under my name that I use on here. I did not write this post. Guess I will have to come up with something new becuase people can not come up with their own names or they are to afraid to post how they feel under their own name.

I unfortunately have to agree with your question. I am not sure how Obama being half black has to do with anything either. Tick Tock imposter.

Don't feel too good, Dan the Child. Apparently someone hijacked my name and tried to discredit my earlier post about Obama being half the man Reagan was. It's a shame the troll tries to discredit my views, probably a clueless lib.

You are the tick tock that I know. You are the racist wingnut who has been here for months puking your venom on everyone in sight. You are the troll that we all know.

To the other tick tock - the Christian one - change your name and start fresh without the baggage of this vulgar bigot stinking up the place.

Typical Dannyboy response, flinging around the race card like he does in every other argument he's losing, which is every one. Can't you come up with something new?

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Libra

Get organized because that's the best way to be productive today. You're eager to be as efficient and practical as possible, but you won't get very far if you don't know what to do first. So draw up a list of priorities and start with the most urgent. Ideally, you should be left to your own devices while you do all this because that will aid your concentration and self-confidence.
