Alex John Gonzales, Delano Joint Union High School's band director of Delano High School and Cesar E. Chavez High School in Delano, was honored before 300 other educators during the annual Kern County Teachers of the Year awards Tuesday night at the Bakersfield Museum of Art in Bakersfield.
