Inspired by a previous picture of a hard-to-find coyote, Mike Cebula of Glenwood sent in this shot his wife, Betty, snapped while the couple was traveling in Sevier County.

Firefighters on Thursday completed work to hem in a blaze that had blackened more than 1,500 acres in south-central Utah's Sevier County.

The blaze, which began about noon Tuesday, had scorched nearly 600 acres of mostly state Bureau of Land Management holdings roughly between the towns of Glenwood and Annabella.

Massive flooding has hit central Utah along the Sevier River, and authorities fear that it will only get worse as temperatures rise and snowpack melts.
