TVI Corp. posts loss for fourth quarter and year
TVI Corp. reported a wider loss for the fourth quarter and year as it struggles to make a turnaround.
The Glenn Dale-based manufacturer of emergency shelters and personal protection products reported a net loss of $8.3 million, or 24 cents per share, compared with a loss of $470,000 or a penny per share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue fell to $8.3 million from $11.1 million for the year-earlier period.
For the year ended Dec. 31, TVI posted a loss of $29.6 million, or 88 cents per share, compared with net income of $1.9 million or 6 cents per share during the prior year. Revenue rose 30 percent to $46.9 million from $36.2 million in 2006. Read more
