Wow... I didn't know he was a cop too. This is a sad story. I have listen to him on the Radio for years.

We in Glenn County are truly sad about loosing Mark. I went to school with him in Red Bluff and he was intrumental in beginning a radio show before school started in the morning. We will miss his smile and humor deeply while scanning our bags before entering the court house.

Mark was a friend of mine for 20 years. Funny, generous, and did I mention funny? Always kept me laughing, whether we were talking on CB radios as kids, doing faux KISS concerts in his front yard or trading demo tapes from our radio days. A great friend.

Very sorry for the loss of this very patriotic and dedicated young man in his prime and for his family.

I'm glad the Sheriff took it upon himself to insinuate that Mark was drunk and on drugs. Great boss. That is a great sign of respect to his family. Mark was a great guy, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am sorry to hear about this. My prayers are with your family. He was a close friend to a dear friend of mine and it seems and feels like he will be missed greatly.

I am totally shocked! I know Mark since 2 years! We trade a lot of stuff from Kiss! We have written almost everyday day. I got last week a package from him (the new Kiss CD and Foreigner CD)

I don't believe the Sheriff was insinuating that he was drunk and on drugs in the sense that you are referring. I think he was stating that there could have been a negative interaction between the presurgery medication he was taking and the beer he may have drank. That is just an honest mistake that a lot of people unfortunately make. Always ask your doctor about interactions with other meds or drinking or even certain foods when you take a new or temporary medication.

I am sorry for the loss of this wonderful human being. I didn't know him but have heard about him and from the mostly glowing comments I can guess he will be greatly missed. It must have truly been a shock for his wife to get that phone call while she was in SO CAL. I am certain his funeral will be heavily attended by a diverse bunch of people for a phenominal celebration of his life.

Mark was a good man... Our whole law enforcement community remains in shock... Our thoughts and prayers are with Margarita, their families, and to everyone who knew him... he will be missed.

RIP Mark. Thank you so much for putting up with a bunch of crazy teenage girls requesting songs on the radio for hours just because you were friends with their cousin. This was MANY years ago but we never forgot about it!:) oh yah, for those who really knew Mark, KISS RULES! You will be missed!

Glenn County Sheriff Jones is WRONG for making statements that he did, regarding Mark's death. Mark loved life. The events that have unfolded in the LAST WEEK should make Jones embarrassed about his position. A public servant passed, and the Sheriff decided the American Flag should not be flown at half mast....... What the @%ck ? Mark, You will be missed and never forgotten.

Has anyone found an obituary or funeral date? Will he be laid to rest in San Jose or Butte?
